Introduction to Yang Jun Interviews Media Personalities and Yang Jun Interviews International Media:
Media, Thought, Collision – Who among contemporary prominent media figures is speaking? As the first Master's graduate in Television Communication from the Beijing Broadcasting Institute, Yang Jun has persisted in communication research for 26 years.
Yang Jun became the first Master's graduate in Television Communication from the Communication University of China (formerly Beijing Broadcasting Institute) in 1990. In 1992, due to her outstanding character and academic excellence, she received scholarships from the State Education Commission and CCTV, graduating and being assigned to work at CCTV. With her sharp media commentator's pen, she has written numerous surveys and commentaries focused on media content. She was the first to propose that film possesses media attributes and argued that the scope of media should encompass eight major communication mediums: television, film, radio, newspapers, magazines, books, audio-visual products, and the internet. She proposed studying representative figures in media events as case studies to longitudinally examine the development of Chinese and global media, successfully putting this into practice.
Yang Jun Interviews Media Personalities and Yang Jun Interviews International Media are large-scale interview series featuring hundreds of top domestic and international media figures, meticulously prepared over three years. They examine the trajectory of Chinese media with a forward-looking, objective, developmental, national, and international perspective. Authoritative figures anticipate that the launch of these interviews and the successful ideas of these media personalities will actively promote and influence the development of Chinese media.
