Italian media reports indicate that Juventus has reached an agreement with Jadon Sancho, and Manchester United appears increasingly willing to lower their asking price for the English winger.
According to sources from Italy, Manchester United’s initial valuation of €25 million for Sancho could drop below €20 million. Earlier this week, FootballItalia revealed that Sancho is patiently waiting for an agreement between Manchester United and Juventus, with the Turin giants being his top transfer preference.
On Thursday morning, La Stampa di Torino disclosed that Sancho’s agent had arrived in Turin to meet with Juventus management, with Manchester United reportedly ready to consider Juventus’s latest bid of €17 million (￡15 million).
Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla suggested that Juventus’s newest offer might be sufficient to convince Manchester United, as the Red Devils are eager to resolve the situation quickly and offload Sancho.
In his CaughtOffside column, Pedulla wrote, “Negotiations are progressing well, and the offer might be enough. Sancho has reiterated his wish to join Juventus and is urging them to expedite the deal.”
“Manchester United is working hard to close this matter. They have abandoned their initial €25 million valuation. While this is not the final offer and caution remains necessary, Juventus is accelerating their efforts to secure Sancho directly.”
Meanwhile, Italian media also report that Timothy Weah is set to return to Ligue 1 by joining Marseille, coached by De Zerbi, while Juventus plans to use the funds from Weah’s sale to bring in Nice defender Jonathan Clauss.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday, the Old Lady is preparing to sell Weah to Marseille for around €15 million and then reinvest those funds to sign a physically strong right-back for coach Tudor.
Juventus requires a robust right-back to fit Tudor’s 3-5-2 formation. At the same time, Sporting CP continues to pursue Alberto Costa.
Clauss and Tudor have a previous working relationship from their time at Marseille, which could facilitate the transfer, especially if an agreement with Nice can be reached.
With plans to cash in €15 million from Weah’s sale and Sporting’s interest in Costa for a similar fee, Juventus’s transfer budget should remain stable. This would allow the club to acquire an experienced, talented right-back ready to contribute in the 2025-26 Serie A season.

Sources explain that Ceballos is no longer in Alonso’s plans and has been advised to seek a new club. Reports add that Betis is interested in re-signing him but financially cannot compete with Juventus.
Ceballos’s contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2027, and transfermarkt estimates his value at around €10 million.
The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reports that Juventus and Inter Milan are contemplating a player swap deal involving Nico Gonzalez and Davide Frattesi, both of whom have been unhappy at their current clubs.
Although the two clubs are fierce domestic rivals who rarely do direct business in the transfer market, some Italian sources, including La Repubblica, suggest a mutually beneficial agreement could be reached this summer.
Recent rumors indicate that Nico Gonzalez may leave Turin after failing to impress last season, with links to Saudi club Al Nassr emerging in recent days.
Nevertheless, Sky Sport Italy reports Inter’s interest in Gonzalez. Should they fail to secure Lukman from Atalanta, the 27-year-old Argentine would be their fallback option.
Sources reveal that Inter values Gonzalez’s versatility and believes he can fulfill multiple roles in coach Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system. The Argentine can play as a winger, secondary striker, or attacking midfielder.
Hence, La Repubblica speculates this could trigger a sensational swap deal sending Frattesi to Juventus. The Bianconeri have monitored the 25-year-old Italian international for years, tracing back to his time at Sassuolo.
Frattesi is reportedly frustrated by limited playing time under Simone Inzaghi and is seeking more opportunities or a fresh start elsewhere. Sources add the two players’ valuations are around €30 million each, making this a likely cashless exchange.
However, this deal is expected to be complicated due to the involvement of multiple parties with differing interests.
Meanwhile, UK’s Sky Sports reports Newcastle United is intensifying negotiations with Juventus over the transfer of Italian defender Nicolo Savona. Despite Savona’s injury concerns, the Magpies are keen to sign him.
On Thursday afternoon UK time, Sky Sports first revealed Newcastle’s interest, and recent reports indicate ongoing discussions with Juventus and Savona’s representatives.
This is not the first time the right-back has been linked with a move to the Premier League. Back in January, when Manchester City failed to sign Juventus teammate Andrej Kambiasso, Savona’s name surfaced again.
Savona turned 22 in March and has been called up to the Italian national team but has yet to make his senior debut. He recently extended his contract until June 2030, suggesting Juventus may not be eager to sell this summer. However, the club needs to generate funds for new signings.
Another concern for Newcastle is Savona’s severe ankle injury sustained during the FIFA Club World Cup, sidelining him until mid-September.
Transfer expert Di Marzio from Sky Sports Italy noted that only after Tino Livramento joins Manchester City would Newcastle consider proceeding with Savona’s acquisition.
