Under the theme "New Engine of Blue Development for the Maritime Community with a Shared Future," the World Ocean Week in Xiamen 2025 will be held from November 6 to 12, coinciding with its 20th anniversary. Aligning global trends with Xiamen's priorities, the event focuses on marine economic development, ecological conservation, and technological innovation. It actively implements SDGs while deepening collaboration with Belt and Road partners and BRICS nations, accelerating Xiamen's evolution into a modern marine city. Nearly 20 activities will engage over 500 global maritime experts. At the industrial level, it spotlighted marine pharmaceuticals and deep-sea equipment through business matchmaking and launched projects like Lujiang Innovation Laboratory. Key releases include the "SkyOcean" AI large model and the APEC Marine Sustainable Development Report, alongside judicial service branding initiatives by Xiamen Maritime Court.
The "High-Performance Lithium Battery Base Construction Project" is operating at full speed. The main structures of two cell plant buildings and two battery pack assembly plant buildings have been topped out. Waterproofing and masonry work are being carried out simultaneously. The project aims to complete fire safety acceptance for the first batch of individual buildings in April this year, begin on-site commissioning of production equipment in the same month, and achieve the first batch of production in August. The "High-Performance Lithium Battery Base Construction Project" covers a planned total land area of approximately 955,000 square meters and a total construction area of about 1,039,000 square meters. It will mainly include the construction of two cell plant buildings, two capacity plant buildings, a module plant, dormitory buildings, etc., and will establish a fully intelligent new energy power battery production line with a capacity of 80 GWh.
